Athletic Official Seasonal

Compensation Range: $22.29 per game
Closing DateThis position is posted on a continuous basis and is subject to close once a satisfactory applicant pool has been reached.

Umpire adult softball, kickball and flag football games and tournament play; maintain standards of the game and ensure that league rules are enforced.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Referee games by maintaining the standards, penalize and diffuse behavior & ensure that specified rules are enforced by using the appropriate signals & mechanics while maintaining a high level of professionalism & customer service.

  • Communicate and report issues; report scores of games and complete and submit game score sheets.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.  Some experience officiating baseball, basketball, softball, and/or flag football as an umpire, score marker, and/or referee required.  ASA, WIAA, and/or NCAA Official certification preferred.

 

 Special Instructions: This Original Examination is open to qualified internal and external candidates of the State of Wisconsin.  The selection process will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral, or performance tests, or other assessment methods.
