Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Facilities Ground Supervisor, this position performs specialized operations tasks in Facilities buildings. The major objective is to provide an advanced level of service in the operations area of maintaining buildings and grounds. Job Duties: 1. Performs corrective maintenance requested by tenants or facilities staff. Maintenance tasks are usually general in nature and may include light bulb replacements, opening/closing the facilities, monitoring facilities, or performing work outside normal building hours. 2. Carry out work schedules and maintenance tasks and programs, assist in repairs and preventative/routine maintenance needs throughout the buildings and grounds. 3. Assist skilled Trades in the performance of their duties by performing a variety of tasks for care and maintenance of buildings and grounds. May work under direction of or one-on-one with Trades to assist in service and maintenance coverage. 4. Provide general building support for moves, quality assurance, and coordination of facilities related tenant request and support. Support events and other facilities tasks as assigned by the Supervisor. 5. Perform snow and salting operations, regular and emergency, walkways/sidewalks, parking lots and roadways to include operating rated air brake 106 plows. 6. Mowing and trimming grass with large riding equipment, maintain storm water ponds, tree removal and trimming, heavy equipment/loader operation. 7. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Current resident of the State of Wisconsin.HS Diploma/GED equivalent.A valid state of Wisconsin driver’s license at time of hire and maintained throughout employment. The ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs; push/pull up to 150lbs. on a regular basis.At least three (3) YEARS of work experience in grounds and maintenance operations.Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with air brake endorsement must obtained within six months of hire date.Must successfully undergo a criminal history background check to maintain security clearance for Milwaukee County facilities.Willing to work any assigned shift and be on call for emergency situations. NOTE: Passing of required training set forth by Facilities Management is required within six-month probationary period. Additional Experience and Abilities: Experience with machinery and vehicles such as: mowers/rider, front loader, lifts and compactors preferred; experience with power tools, ladder, scaffolding, PC’s; chainsaws and chippers is desirable; ability to communicate information effectively with internal and/or external contacts; ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow simple instructions; ability to execute decisions within limits of standard policy and procedures; ability to make decisions of responsibility involving evaluation of information in which decisions may require development or application of alternatives or precedents.PG16Z7 (FM 5702) M.
