ERP IT Applications Systems Analyst III

Position Type:  Full-Time, Salaried 

Department:  1160-DAS

Compensation Range: $70,897.88 - $87,485.11 annually
Closing Date: Open until filled

Job Summary: Implements configuration changes; analyze, documents, installs, and maintains applications, software and systems; provides technical support to lead center of excellence solutions.

 

 JOB DUTIES: Under general supervision; provides  support of day to day usage of applications; maintains a deep knowledge of the functionality of Milwaukee County Enterprise applications, technology and integrations; provides technical support to IMSD staff; converts requirements into appropriate system configurations; supports the planning, creation and implementation of interfaces and other integration as necessary; provides primary support resource or applications; serves as Primary for integration of County to enterprise financial, human resource, and procurement systems;  ensure security, compliance and integrity of systems and data; creates, implements, maintains and tests DR procedures for applications; ensures change control and support ticketing processes are executed by defined procedures; practices strong personal management routines; participates in the IMSD performance management process to drive goals and performance; works effectively in a matrix environment and develop a culture of collaboration; ensures IMSD reputation for solid delivery; completes all administrative tasks required for the position, including time reporting and documentation; provides supervision to other analysts and act as lead programmer with projects or maintenance related tasks; assist management in developing policies and procedures; ensures that the data resources support a strategy of data representing the single record of truth; support BI and reporting initiatives to create an end user reporting environment; use a data driven approach to drive process improvement for all supporting activities and to perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree with a major in IT, Engineering or a Business-related field from an approved college or university is required.

 

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in applications, financial/human resource/or procurement systems and solutions is required.  Experience in the use of SQL scripting, NET framework, Visual Studio, C#, VB, MVC and SQL Server is required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of  the theory, principles and practices of application, system and solutions configuration;  advanced knowledge and understanding of the SDLC process and AGILE methodologies;  advanced specialized  knowledge  of software and systems components; knowledge of security principles and procedures;  problem solving skills; analytical skills;  skill in implementing configuration changes; technical experience in assigned system; oral and communication skills; decision making skills; judgment skills;  and ability to effectively and harmoniously with others.

 

Special Instructions: This Original Examination is open to current residents of the state of Wisconsin.  In accordance with Rule III section 11 of the Civil Service Rules a non-competitive examination will be held for this position.  The non-competitive examination will consist of a review of candidates materials, education and related experience.
